After coaching NFL Offensive Linemen for 27 years (Cowboys, Bengals, Jets) and 10 years in College (Michigan, Penn State), Coach Al embarked on a new path as a personal coach concentrating on developing elite linemen. Over the past five years his clients have included 12 first round draft picks and 25 second/third round picks. His veteran NFL clients include many of the top OLiners in the game as they have been rewarded with over a billion dollars in second contract monies. Over his career he has coached 1 7 Pro Bowlers/1st alternates, 2 Outland Trophy Winners, numerous All Americans and future certain Pro Football Hall ofFamers.
Developing Linemen has always been Coach Al's passion as he started the first ever lineman camp in 1991 along with Coach Eash at Illinois Wesleyan. Since Midwest Lineman Camp's inception, he has imparted his knowledge to nearly 10,000 campers. He proudly teaches the same blocking techniques to both high school athletes and NFL players.
Coach Al is a kinesiologist by training with his graduate level studies in exercise physiology and biomechanics. He has applied principles of physics in both his unique blocking techniques and his invention of the Lev Sled, the most popular blocking sled in the world.
